Making an impact on the military community.

Problem

A professional athlete wanted to give back to veterans and active military personnel, as well as their families, by raising funds for and awareness of programs that serve them.

Solution

Create a non-profit organization to raise funds for other non-profit organizations whose missions are to provide services that positively impact servicemen and women and their families.

Approach

Run That worked to build the non-profit organization from the ground up. We established the branding and messaging and identified and vetted the organizations that would benefit from the organization. A military appreciation program was also started where military members and their families could attend National Hockey League games and have meet-and-greets with players free of charge. Run That coordinated with the sports team and participants and secured a sponsor for the program. Run That also leads the organization’s public relations and social media strategy and manages administrative responsibilities. Additionally, Run That has organized a very successful annual fundraising event for the organization.
